We had the wonderful opportunity to visit our good friend Annie up in Bellingham this summer. We went on a little day hike and explored the area. Goodness the northwest is beautiful. The hike was steep but short and it led to an amazing view. A hang glider even took off the edge of the cliff when we got there. We also went to the beach at low tide and were able to walk for what felt like miles into the shallow water. It's little trips like these that remind you of why doing something to protect the places we live from pollution and destruction are so important. I will be going abroad this coming semester and part of my program is environmental justice. I am excited to learn more about sustainability and see other ecosystems.
