Cholitas Luchadoras

             We watched a really interesting documentary in Spanish called The Fighting Cholitas. It is a film all about the indigenous women of Bolivia who are fighters. Their style of fighting is sort of like the American version of WWF. However, I find it much more interesting than the WWF. Instead of promoting a the stereotypical strong man image with a bunch of half-naked women introducing the fighters, Cholitas promote an empowering and feminist image. I am writing an essay about it for my class and I really suggest checking out the documentary!
